No son ellas inferiores a mi, no se si superiores. Somos distintos, diferentes. Sus rostros morenos de los soles radiosos, y vientos impetuosos. Tienen la antigua agilidad y la fuerza divina. Saben nadar, remar, cabalgar, luchar, correr, golpear, huir, avanzar, resistir, defenderse. Inexorables en su derecho, serenas, inteligentes, límpidas, seguras de si mismas. Algo así decía Whitman hacia 1855.
